About me
I know exactly what it feels like to sit in an IB Math class wondering if it will ever click. I was an IB student myself — and that experience never left me.
After the IB, I went on to study Mathematics and Philosophy at university in the UK, where my love for the subject only deepened. From there, I took an unexpected detour: I joined an investment banking firm and built a career as a financial analyst. I was good at it. In fact, I passed all three levels of the CFA — one of the most demanding finance qualifications in the world — in just a year and a half, something that genuinely surprised even the most seasoned people around me.
But sitting at that desk, I kept asking myself the same question: is this really what I'm here to do?
In 2018, I made a decision that raised a few eyebrows. I walked away from a lucrative career in finance to do what I actually love — teach mathematics. No regrets. Not one.
Since then, I have taught IB Mathematics full-time, working with students across the UK, Spain, Switzerland, Canada and the UAE. In 2022, I took my own education further, enrolling in a Master's degree in Mathematics at EMU in Cyprus — where I was awarded a scholarship and spent a full year teaching university-level mathematics in the department alongside my studies.
I bring all of that — the IB experience, the real-world application of mathematics, the academic rigour, and the genuine passion — into every single session I teach.
I don't just teach math. I help students understand it, feel confident in it, and perform in it when it matters most.
If you are struggling, stuck, or simply want to go from a 5 to a 7 — I'd love to help.
